Lea has been practising Yoga for 28 years, which she started after incurring a back injury in her nursing career.
Lea is a qualified and accredited Level 2 Yoga Teacher. She completed a two year in depth course in a holistic and all encompassing yoga style - Satyananda Yoga (similar to Hatha Yoga), and is also an accredited Yoga Nidra Instructor (a specific and powerful deep relaxation practice).
She has been teaching classes ongoing since the beginning of 2015 both privately and in group settings to adults, pre-school, primary and secondary children.
You are in safe hands when with Lea as she is a Registered Nurse with 35 years of experience, who currently works part time as a Remote Area Nurse (RAN) - which involves additional qualifications through Ambulance Victoria. She also works as a Practice Nurse within a GP clinic.
She has worked in all areas of nursing including Intensive Care, Theatre, Accident & Emergency, Medical & Surgical and Midwifery.
She is a RAN endorsed practitioner and is competent with full CPR and first aid skills, as well as being an Asthma Educator.
Lea understands the benefits of practising yoga to assist with PTSD and other mental health and emotional health issues.

If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits which may differ each day. By participating, I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension.
As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. You should always will listen to your body, and discontinue the activity. You should always continue to breathe smoothly.
